who's skinnier?

so usually when people know me, they'll realize that i would never put "too skinny" in my vocabulary. why? not because i appreciate bulimia or anorexia but i like the aesthetics of a thin and proportional model. however, i really think this pulls the plug on the idea of "skinny" and being "androgynous".

here's a photo from a designer that i really like, rad hourani. i really think his concept is pretty cool.

it pretty much translates to the fact that hourani thinks everyone is born unisex, so why don't we all make clothes unisex.

tights. check.

tights on guys? check.

but hey, take a look here from the runway:

obviously, we can tell who is the guy here, the MAN on the right. however, WHO HAS SKINNIER LEGS???

i find this a bit creepy.

but props on the color scheme hourani, i LOVE black.

  2. You know, androgyny isn't a part of skinniness, I think. At least, not always. I also don't think proportional comes with thinness. Thinness is a great thing, but proportional measurements have nothing to do with it.

  4. androgyny doesnt have to do with skinniness but the aesthetics of this show is androgny incase you don't know maria. the hourami went for the aesthetics of "why can't man and woman wear the same stuff?

regarding your proportional point, i never said that proportional equates to being skinny, i'm saying that my aesthetics is a skinny and a proportional figure. long limbs and a skinny body with long neck and little to no hips.
